It’s worth taking time to plan your trip- remember the 1/3 – 2/3 rule…the first third of your time should be planning to ensure a great outing! This includes deciding where it is you want to go, what gear you will need, and checking your gear for serviceability. It’s worth calling the ranger station if you are headed to National Forest or wilderness areas to get the latest information on conditions.
